Whilst regional SMEs receive a similar welcome pack upon joining, the links from this page are specifically tailored to support civil aviation operations. These are developed with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Aviation is uniquely safety critical, with digital systems increasingly playing an essential part in many areas of operations and service provision. This brings unique requirements and challenges. Therefore, bringing together SME’s who deliver and/or support aviation services, to share best practice and provide parity of exposure to cyber resilience guidance, will improve maturity and resilience in the aviation sector overall.

After joining your nearest Centre, your welcome pack will provide you with access to national guidance on aviation specific cyber resilience, SME generic cyber resilience, free online resources, toolkits and a tabletop exercise to help you really test your business resilience plans against a cyber attack. Furthermore, your welcome pack will provide you with access to specialist teams of students who have CAA Cyber training to support you through the CAA Cyber Security Oversight Process for Aviation – CAP1753, including scoping your critical systems and the completion of the CAF for Aviation.
